In a training at work (from home) today so all day conference call, makes standing and walking in place possible. Went on break and got 5 fast minutes in after letting the dog out and the rest on the conference call. Will do another stint after awhile. Sometimes you make time and sometimes you find time. Evening walk instead of a workout DVD because I wanted it and the living room was a mess and the kids were watching a DVD. Woke up to another .5 down on the scale yesterday and then hosted a party for like 40 people for my daughters 5th birthday. Many of them mentioned my weight loss. (The 32 lbs not the .5 lb) it felt great at the moment, but I'm reminded of @andiemmitchell 's comments in her book about how she got a lot more attention after losing weight and that weight or body size or look doesn't define a person and doesn't make them worthy of attention or praise. Praise me for my amazing party throwing skills, my nearly perfect parenting (that was a joke) my attention to details. One of my pet peeves is when the only subject of conversation with my daughters is something related to their clothing or hair , that is not who she is! Discuss her invention ideas, ask about her favorite books, ask her how she feels about [fill in the blank] don't just mention how pretty her dress is or how much you love her boots. After my splurge yesterday and a couple days before going just over my calories, I'm only up .4 lb. and I can fluctuate up that much easily so I'm happy! Going to get back in gear and stay on track all week. Hosting a Super Bowl party in our downstairs shop(we live in a loft apartment upstairs) meant for a lot of trips up and down the stairs and a lot of steps overall. I didn't need any exercise to meet my Fitbit goals today. This food picture only shows 2/3 of the food not counting desserts at our party (not pictured is the other table full of hot dogs/polish sausages/hotlinks chili and nachos. I ate too much and drank too much and ended up feeling yucky sick and gassy later, I can definitely tell that I've been eating healthy when I have an off day like this. The food was good but not worth it. I told myself I didn't HAVE to hit my step/active minutes goal today, that I can't be perfect every day and it's all balance. I was content with not getting up after nursing the baby to sleep to just walk about in place or start a walk DVD. But then my phone battery was dying and I had to get up to get my charger. Then my lizard needed water. So I decided I will eventually miss my goal and when I do it'll be ok, but that day is not today. This was my higher calorie/carb day, my body was asking for it so I gave what it asked for. I didn't take pics of breakfast or lunch (that's my daughters breakfast minus a sausage). I had 1 eggo with 1TBS cream cheese (no jam) and 2 turkey links and a sf oatmeal cookie. Lunch was McDonald's artisan grilled chicken sandwich with only half bun and half order med fries and unsweet tea. Then I was really wanting (and felt like needing) sugar and caffeine so had a medium frappe and really savored it. I haven't had a blended coffee in many many months. Another #justwalk DVD workout tonight. Cardio has transitioned from being a chore to being a hobby. I quite enjoy it. I used to feel guilty taking time away from the kids but I don't anymore. This is for them that I get my me time and I'm a better mom the more energy the less stress and the healthier I am. This shirt by the way was too tight to wear to the #miraclemilkstroll last May. I was so disappointed that I couldn't wear it back then. I'm happy to wear it now! Food was on point today! 3 balanced meals all with veggies, a nice portioned comfort food snack (not pictured, half pbj) and a nice amount of fiber. Also, #carbs were just at goal. Bfast: scrambled #eggs with mushroom #avocado and blue cheese and turkey sausages. Lunch: salad with chicken sausage, #chia seeds, boiled egg, blue cheese and ranch.
