pretty happy with my day today. should have eaten breakfast when i got up but im not hungry in the morning and we were running late because we slept until 1230! didnt enter all my food as i ate it today, waited until just now and im pleasently surprised to see that i stayed under my goal. brother and sil brought tortilla chips that had cottonseed oil in them so we both chose not to have chips (which was for the better) i dipped my carrot sticks in the guacamole and put some on my burger. with a few bites of potato salad and about a 3rd of my (no cheese) turkeyburger left on the plate, i was full so i stopped eating. its such a simple thing but im proud of that.
we are going to the gym later so i am going to have a leftover turkey burger patty and some watermelon. didnt drink very much water today. did put out water at the bbq in addition to the crystal light and hawaiian punch. i learned that i did not miss the cheese on the burger at all. probably because turkey and cheese dont go as well together as beef and cheese, or ham and cheese etc... soeme things just call for cheese, turkey (and seafood also) just doesnt. good to know!

yay, so happy to see a # i havent seen in a while! (or ever, i wasnt weighing myself as i gained the weight. i let in to tempation at the impromptu bbq at grandmas last night with an extra helping of baked beans (they were so super yummy, i dont usually like baked beans) also cut a creamcheese frosted brownie in half after dinner. thats ok it was just practice for sisters bbq today i can be better! i set my "10lbs down goal" from starting point to get my nails done i didnt get them filled when they needed because money is tight but i want them done, i miss them! im hoping im down to 259 by fathersday weekend and my dads big party that saturday!

ok so i started off the day with a concoction mikey made, he mixed a can of ravioli, can of campbells tomato soup, and a can of minestroni soup, added some milk and cheese. i have no idea about the exact calories but i put ravioli down to make life easier because i figure it was the most calories of the ingredients and over estimated how much i had.i was proud of myself for weighing out the roast beef, i was surprised how much a serving was, i wouldnt have gotten so much normally. having not eaten too much today, i decided to have a full serving though. i was full and didnt eat anything since dinner, havent felt like it.
mikey got sick so we havent been to the gym lately, bums me out. i decided that im going to have him take me even if he doesnt feel like he can work out. he can go to boarderlands or something for an hour.

couldnt sleep last night until almost 4am then i woke up with a bad headache so slept off and on until almost 4pm. i thought about everything i ate today. mikey went to subway because he didnt want to ask me to cook. got the new summer orchard chicken salad sandwich,
it was really good. i usually only eat half of a footlong, but i was hungry so after waiting a while after the first half, i ate the rest of the footlong. chose baked chips and had an entire bottle of water. still have a headache. will be going to bed soon.

So I'm not too disappointed with things today. I helped my sisters and mom decide to go to tutti frutti to eat healthy for lunch, next time I will choose a smaller smoothie, or no smoothie with my sammy. Did remember no mayo. They serve veggie crisps instead of chips or fries. But that doesnt mean I should eat all of them. Dinner was good, I need to learn that its ok to ask for fatfree dressing, and not care if someone thinks I'm being picky. Most people could benefit from the healthy choices I am making lately. The thing about dinner was that I was really tempted to get much fattier options. The salad was really disppointing, but it was a chinese place. I was glad I got the crab puffs because they were super yummy, so dinner was still enjoyable even with the lame salad. And the great thing about food, once its gone, its gone, who cares if it wasn't the best thing you ever ate every day? Tomorrow is the first day of June, let's call this a new month resolution to write what I bite, scribble what I nibble, ink what I drink. Except with my newfangled "app for that" world I gotta come up with some cooler rhymes. Scan what's in the pan.... type what's in the tripe? Yeah I need to work on those....

my motivation was rekindled today when i thought i might as well try on the size 20 wedding dresses "in case i like them i can get them altered". well it fit, perfectly. its only been 6 1/2 weeks since i was trying on perfectly fitting 22s. i have been slacking for the last few days, this will kick me back in to gear. aahh

im off to get a glass of water.

ok so back from vegas for a few days and although i have THOUGHT about eating right. i really havent followed through though. we did go shopping the other night though to buy some healthy foods. got 45 calorie bread, yogurt, cottage cheese cups, milk for cereal, whole wheat waffles, lots of frozen fruit for smoothies. im in love with mikeys magic bullet he got for christmas that we just opened the other day. plan for today, 2 waffles with pb for breakfast. apple and cottage cheese for snack. ham and cheese sandwich and a smoothie for lunch. havent completely decided on dinner yet, but i have some chicken breast i can do something with... since i woke up late (like an hour ago) breakfast will be now and then we will probably have dinner as a family after my snack, so i will save the sandwhich and smoothie for after dinner snack/dessert. i usually have lots of calories left to eat after dinner (when im actually keeping track. so that will be a healthy way to fill me up so i dont starve over night.

alright so i am only up 1 lb after our vacation. im ok with that because we had such a great time, the trip was really great for our souls and minds, even if the eating wasnt that great for our bodies. and i didnt lose sight of my end goal and give up. im still here.

getting excited for Vegas

ok so i have been slacking the last few days. we have been out and about more. we have always gone to restraunts a lot but we had tried to slow dow, last few days though we reverted to old habits. i am going to go pull some healthy snacks to the front of the cupboards so that if we are on our way out and plan to eat somewhere, i can have an applesauce cup or something instead of french fries etc. breakfast was good. although i slept in again. i was up kinda late planning our vegas trip and then couldnt sleep because i was thinking about our vegas trip. tonight, i will take a MIDNITE so i can sleep earlier. tomorrow should be a busy day and i dont want to sleep half of it away, then i want to get to bed at a decent hour friday night so that i wont be tired when we have to get up early to go to the airport.

hopefully getting a filling today will help me not eat too much for the next day or so. just have to watch the calories in the liquid stuff. me thinks me can eat jamba juice with a spoon....

so i ended up going to starbux for happyhour frappaccino because i had a gift card and my sister was working there while i waited for my rx to be filled, ate that with a spoon instead. having just got my tooth filled, i got safeway baked potato soup. i should have looked up the calorie info before i decided on it. that was a bad choice. (lesson learned) did have some krab salad and fruit salad to go with it and a liter of water. we got free tickets to an advanced screening of Letters to Juliet which was really good by the way! did end up splurging for popcorn, (before i looked up the calories on the soup, or i wouldnt have) didnt finish it though. my tooth feels pretty good, just a little irritated is all. i am not happy with my eating today, waited to long to eat, i just wasnt interested in eating until i was starving after the dentist. tommorrow will be a better day

ocho de mayo party and moms day

so i kinda figured that last night and today would be a high calorie day.

yesterday, i had berry juice for breakfast and then some chicken jerky because i realized at 2:30 that i hadnt eaten :( . at the party i had a lot of carne asada so super yummy!, some texmex salad with low fat cilantro lime dressing, baked corn chips and guacamole. half of a cheese filled soft pretzle thing (regretted it because it was a waste of 2 bites since it was yucky) and 3 lil smokeys in bbq sauce(thought about that after, theyre yummy and all but i would have rather spent those calories on more carne asada. mikey made pineapple punch and it was soo yummy i had several cups. we both chose not to drink at the party. usually we drink, and usually i drink a lot. but with mothers day in the morning and us both dieting, we chose not to. so today,i started off working cleaning up unde the deck so we can put down gravel tomorrow, then had green goodness juice for breakfast and coffee. off to my Gma in laws. 6 bacon wrapped shrimp. some corn chips and leftover guacamole from the party last night. not all of the bbqed chicken thigh. some potato salad. then the carrot cake, one of my favorites, it was that OR the brownies, not both. i chose the cake. the shrimp was soooo yummy. then to my moms, they had pizza and salad for dinner. i decided to wait a while before having "dinner" or id be hungry when i got home. had 3 skinny peices of bacon chicken bbq pizza later. my wonderfull sisters made sugar free cookies, dad has diabetes, and she spelled out "happy mothers day love rachel and lenna" with small letter cutters, so the cookies were kinda small. everyone had one with our initial letter with our strawberrys and angel food cake. (this way i could keep them straight since half of the strawberries were sweetened with splenda instead of sugar) i had 1/2 of the angel food cupcake, then finished my sisters when she didnt want the rest of hers. so about 3/4 of a cupcake a cup + of whipped cream and lots of splenda strawberries. i didnt drink much, or er uh, any water today. kinda irritated with myself, i totally didnt think about it when i bought me and mikey some arizonas at the store. i will try next time to just get us some cold water or at least diet teas. depending on how mikey feels in a bit we may head out to 24 hour fitness. after pigging out yesterday and today, i think we should. hope any mothers out there had a good mothers day. im hoping this will be my last nonmothers day for me!

i had a migraine for the last 2 days, but i still stuck with my calorie limits. actually had enough calories left to enjoy some dark chocolate easter leftover candy. day 2, i forced myself to get out of bed and go in to town, migraine in tow. then i made myself go to the gym. mikey didnt feel up to working out so i swam and he sat in the hot tub. headache went away but came back a few hours later. woke up this morning feeling much better. going to do some housework, because it counts as excersize. last night i was 266.4 this morning i was 264.something. its normal to fluctuate so im not getting to excited, but its good to see a smaller number than i have all year!

work out and dinner with Jesus

so i woke up commited to getting back on track today after my icky weekend.breakfast, i woke up earlier than usual to watch PJ so i wasnt hungry.
made myself have a couple peices of toast, only ate 1 1/2 of them.
i found myself mindlessly eating some of the candy we had leftover from the taffy store, realizing this, i mindfully enjoyed the last bite in my mouth, really paid attention to how it felt in my mouth, something i have been trying to do, to make the food i eat mean more.
lunch was a 2 tortilla quesadilla, some summer sausage from our trip, and a mandarin orange cup. a little on the fatty side, but still within my calorie limits after having such a small breakfast.
had a bite of icecream when we stopped to visit Aunt sarah at the mall to give her the taffy we brought home. (also gave the gummy sour watermelons to PJ, so i wouldnt eat it) didnt even think about the ice cream bite until later, it made me realize that i need to pay more attention.
picked up Jesus from work at went to the gym. spent 20 mins on the eliptical, burned 260 calories. then lifted weights, i did a set of 10 reps using each leg by itself, each leg using the toes of my feet and using both legs on the leg press. also did 10 reps on the abench, 10 on the arm lifting thing, and the laying on my stomach curling back of calves thingy. then went to the stainmaster, but my ankle was popping a bunch and the boys were ready to go, so we called it a day.
forgot my swim suit and jesus didnt want to swim. we will likely go swimming tomorrow.thursday evening, we will try to be there for the aquatic arobics class. we want to learn what we can do to make the most out of our time in the pool.
dinner at applebees, i was really looking forward to enjoying a healthy choice from 'bees with Jesus, havent spent much time with him lately, and it was nice just the 3 of us.had french onion soup, to help fill me up. then i had the dijon chicken with portobellos and fruit instead of veggies, just didnt feel like veggies, there were peppers and onions in the chicken sauce.drank water.i am feeling hungry now though, and i know it is because i stuffed myself for basically 4 days and my stomach is wanting to be filled up. if im still hungry in about 20 mins, i will make some popcorn.

back on track

lets pretend that weekend didnt happen ok?

so i knew that spending the weekend at the coast, eating out every meal would be difficult. i am dissapointed in how well i didnt do watching what i ate.

i did chose water or coffee at almost each meal. i had half /half white/chocolate milk tonight and ice tea last night, but other than that i was good for the meals.



so friday,

`i started the day eating a good breakfast,
`for dinner, we went to Sea Hag.
i told myself to get the salad. but i got the buffet instead. i dont know everything i ate, but it was too much. lots of coconut shrimp, some pasta salad, some other fish. the salad dressing was icky so i didnt eat my salad, just the tomatoes. oh well i wont stress over it.
`then we went to the bar, i had a few drinks and a couple peices of bbq pork.
Saturday,
`i had a banana and watermelon for breakfast,
`then we went to Mo's for lunch, i love Mo's, i did have 4 onion rings and some shrimp cocktail. looking back i am trying not to be disapointed in myself but i had 2 peices of garlic bread and an entire bowl of chowder.
`at the movies, i had popcorn, but i limited myself to about 5 cups i would estimate. a lot i know, but i stopped myself, and we did have water.
`we stopped by a candy store for salt water taffy, i chose a few small peices and didnt eat all of it, none of the taffy that was for a favorite aunt of mine...
`dinner was pizza, i felt good about only having 3 skinny peices and a huge salad. again, water instead of soda and i really wanted some rootbeer.
Sunday
`breakfast was half a banana, then a huge mocha with ff milk. didnt finish it, i should have gotten the smaller one.
`lunch was Mos again. had some of the hot shrimp artichoke dip with bread and the Boulabaisse soup, i felt good about that choice, its in a tomato broth rather than the creamy chowder, and lots of fresh shell fish. was so super yummy.
`we went to the cheese factory, had some samples of cheese and fudge, then a 2 scoop icecream in a dipped waffle bowl. one scoop was sugar free.
`dinner was a seafood/steak house. i chose the crab louie, a big salad, took the egg yolks out of the hard boiled egg. not a new thing, i dont like yolks. we had ice tea with dinner with spenda and lots of lemon.
`back at the hotel, we had some fudge, summer sausage and extra sharp cheddar we bought at the cheese factory, an enjoyable but unnessesary snack.

monday
we went to pig n pancake for breakfast, had water and coffee again. but my meal choice was not a good one, at this poing in the vacation i had let my guilt of the time and calories wasted get the better of me and just forgot to care about what we ate. half eggs benedict and half swedish pancake. and half of the hashbrowns. (mikey and i shared 2 meals)
we ended up not getting a lunch, because breakfast was kind of late but we did snack on some pepperoni sticks and a little bit more cheese.
dinner was buffet again. uhg,

on the positive note, we did a lot of walking, antiquing and checking out souvenier shops. i could have made worse choices. and i am NOT letting this get me down, i will wake up tomorrow back on track. lots of playing with PJ and after we drop him off, we hit the gym.

day one.

so today is the first day of the rest of my life.
corney, i know but it is true
here is how it went.
today, i slept in, my sleeping habits are not where i would like them to be.

i was sure to eat breakfast when i woke up, double fiber wheat toast with icbinb and a 6oz yogurt
should have eaten more, but just didnt feel like it.

i cut up the cucumber and put all the veggies in ziplock bags so theyre easier to get to and see in the fridge

for lunch i had carrots, cucumber, broccoli, fresh green beans. a cup of green goddess and a stick cheese

dinner, MIL baked a chicken enchilada deal, i had a serving of that and salad with lite dressing and a small side of beans and corn.

we went to the gym after dinner, spent 15 min on the elliptical, 5 mins on the spinning bike and about an hour in the pool.

Forgot to grab a water bottle but did drink from the fountain, will not forget that next time. i know i would have drank more if i had a bottle.

GOAL:
7 hours at the gym and I get a mp3player strap band deal for my arm.

To do tonight: pack our gym bags for thursday (clothes are in the laundry atm), an extra towel this time and water bottle, make a workout playlist for the mp3 player.
To do tomorrow: at least 15 mins on the bike, drink more water.
