Peanut butter and banana smoothie. Frozen banana (I always peel and freeze bananas when they're starting to get too ripe) handful of ice and 1/2 whole milk yoghurt. Blend that up, then add 1 scoop protein powder and some water and blend. Then add PB2 and blend. #satisfying #peanutbutter #banana #smoothie

Last Saturday I messed up my back, which derailed my good month of June. I barely managed 10,000 steps Sunday and was in a lot of pain M-Th. Even with Vicodin and muscle relaxers I could often hard let move. Friday I did too much getting packed for a trip and then was recovering/lazy the rest of the weekend. I'm finally better enough to walk intentionally for exercise. I set my goal low, and just 10,000 steps but preserving my back is top priority. I could have countered the lack of mobility with stricter diet, but I didn't. I ate whatever I wanted. My non negotiable is staying on plan with calories, and try to get the movement in. I may be immobile but that doesn't mean I can't watch what I eat. #backache #pain #lowerback #ouch #fitness #fitbit

My June challenge is to not eat fast food, to avoid gluten (for myself) and to use up the food we have in the freezer and pantry. I tend to keep a decent stock of food, but we need to actually eat some of it before it goes bad. I found a gorgeous pork roast in the freezer it's been hot so crock pot it is. I added the potatoes half way in to cooking the roast, I tend to throw away many potatoes that get forgotten so we will be having these potatoes a couple times a week to make sure they don't go bad. I keep a lot of frozen veggies on hand too, but they are starting to get freezer burnt, putting them in the crockpot for to he last 20ish minutes heated them and you couldn't tell they were old. It has been a challenge to not get fast food and to eat at home but I'm committed to sticking to it. #mealplanning #glutenfree #dinner #pantry #freezer #crockpot

Trying to get up before the heat failed! I slept through my alarm and then had to nurse the baby back to sleep. It was so hot already once I got outside I doubt it wouldn't been much better an hour earlier. About Me

Cyndi
I'm a mother of 3 kids and a wife for10+ years. I have an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am passionate about breastfeeding. I did an internship with WIC's lactation group, and I am one of the core members of the Marion County Breastfeeding Coalition. I was a peer counselor for the Nursing Mothers Council and I would also like to be a Le Leche Leader in the future. I love planning parties! I use some FlyLady concepts and a lot of advice from ASlobComesClean to (try to) keep me on top of my housework routines and I highly recommend them.
